Corporate carbon footprint and PCF tool successfully introduced
The Hoberg & Driesch Tube Group has taken another important step towards climate transparency and decarbonization. Together with Green Navigation, a comprehensive CO₂e balance sheet was drawn up for the entire group of companies - across more than 20 locations in Europe.
The calculation is based on the GHG Protocol Corporate Standard and DIN EN ISO 14064 and includes all relevant emission sources of Scopes 1 and 2 as well as Scope 3.1 up to and including 3.9. The base year for calculating the Corporate Carbon Footprint (CCF) is 2024. This means that the Hoberg & Driesch Tube Group has a complete overview of company-wide emissions and their structure along the value chain for the first time.
"The CCF provides us with a solid and transparent basis for the further development of our climate strategy," explains the management. "The results help us to target those areas where we have realistic and effective reduction potential."
New PCF tool enables product-related CO₂e balances
In addition to the group-wide emissions balance sheet, a customized Product Carbon Footprint Tool (PCF tool) has been developed to enable the efficient creation of product-related CO₂e values in the future. The tool takes into account the requirements of the GHG Protocol Product Standard and DIN EN ISO 14067.
Individual PCF values can now be calculated for each order item for a large part of the product range - including the option of issuing customer-specific PCF certificates.
Hoberg & Driesch is thus not only increasing transparency along the supply chain, but also actively supporting customers in meeting their own sustainability targets and reporting obligations.

With the introduction of CCF and PCF, the Hoberg & Driesch Tube Group is strengthening its strategic orientation in the area of climate protection - both at company and product level. The insights gained form a sound basis for deriving further decarbonization measures and creating sustainable added value together with partners and customers.
